The building is situated in the Cedar Riverside neighborhood adjacent to Augsburg College, and occupied by several U of M speciality clinics and commercial offices. Management challenged our team to imagine a design, within a tight budget, that would elevate and modernize 5,000 SF of common area. Simplicity and unity drove the new solution. We started by removing all existing seventies inspired furnishings, finishes and artwork. We then designed a custom graphic hospitality carpet to widen narrow corridors and update the look. Other highlights include a custom glazed local tile backsplash and quartzite countertops in the shared kitchen court.
